Presentation: Women in Motion, 1850-1920

Book Presentation

The Shelton McMurphey Johnson House and the Cottage Grove Museum will be co-hosts for book release events for Reflecting Freedom: How Fashions Mirrored the Struggle for Women's Rights by Eileen Tannich Gose and Kathleen DeHerrera

There will be two presentations on August 19th: Pants = Power at the Shelton McMurphey Johnson House in Eugene at 10:00 a.m.; and Women in Motion at the Opal Center in Cottage Grove at 2:00 p.m.

Gose and DeHerrera have studied extensively the history of women’s fight for equality. Their research led to analysis of women’s rights and its connection to fashion. This book is the result.
